Black Currant Conserve

Try this wonderful Black Currant Conserve, that can be served warm or chilled!


  • 2
    Quarts frozen CurrantCâ„¢ Black Currants, thawed
  • 1/2 Pound
  • 1 Cup
    diced orange segments
  • 1/2 Cup
    chopped walnuts
  • 6 Cups


  1. Just cover Black Currants with fresh cold water and bring to a boil, cooking until berries are soft.

  2. Add the sugar, orange pulp, and raisins, and simmer slowly until thick.

  3. Add the nut meats. Continue cooking for 5 more minutes.

  4. May be served warm or chilled.
