Inspired by Ian Fleming’s 1953 book, Casino Royale, in which James Bond created the recipe for the “Vesper” martini named after his current paramour, Greg reworked the recipe with black currants and came up with “CurrantC Vesper”.
In the 2006 movie Casino Royale, 007 told Vesper he named it after her, “because once you have tasted it, you won’t drink anything else.”
Mix all ingredients in a shaker of ice, strain and serve in a chilled martini glass.
Garnish with a knot of lemon peel.
